Alfredo E. Ordonez (Al) serves as a Principal of The Ordonez Financial Group. For over 25 years, he has specialized in personal financial planning for families, professionals and retirees. His specialties include investment portfolio management, retirement analysis, insurance planning and comprehensive wealth advisory services. Adhering to the highest ethical standards and providing transparency to his clients has been the cornerstone of Al’s practice. He is a fee-based Financial Advisor with Eagle Strategies, LLC, a registered investment adviser and a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, one of the largest financial services companies in the world.
Al received his Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University. He has earned the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College and holds FINRA licenses 6, 63 and 65 in multiple states including: FL, CA, CO, VA, WI, SC, and NC.
Some of the prestigious awards and recognition Al has garnered within his industry include Lifetime Member of the *Million Dollar Round Table (Top of the Table qualifier) and member of the **Chairman’s Council (in addition to Lifetime Council Member) from New York Life. In 2022, Al Ordonez was named as one of Forbes’ Best-In-State financial security professionals. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and has served as the President of the Sarasota chapter of NAIFA.
In his free time, Al enjoys exercising, traveling, volunteering and spending time with his wife, Cynthia, and his daughters Paloma and Valentina. He is an avid runner and has completed the Hawaii Marathon and several triathlons. His travels have taken him to over 35 different countries including most of Europe and South America, where his father (Colombia) and mother (Venezuela) are originally from. One of Al’s greatest passions is to serve others through volunteering. He has served in various capacities for numerous charitable organizations throughout Sarasota and is an active member of his church.
